Hi all! Questions for owners or folks who have traveled to Flamingo. I am an owner @ PS in Orlando and have been considering picking up some more points at the Flamingo. I just got back from a Vegas trip, while I was there I intended to go check out the HGVC section of the Flamingo but ran out of time. I need however walk thru the casino and lobby of the Flamingo. I was less than impressed with the facility. Those that have traveled there or are owners there please give me your feed back as to how the Flamingo compares to other HGVC locations!
Thank!!

I actually like the Flamingo HGVC but you are absolutely correct in saying that the Flamingo Hotel is definatley lacking. That Hotel is very old and in need of a major remodel. The pools can get really packed in the busy season during the weekends but at other times its not a problem. The HGVC Flamingo is in a great location to be able to walk out and go to other areas of the strip and in that respect it is hard to beat. The rooms are modern and clean which is much better than the Hotel/Casino part. If you've been to other HGVC properties and liked them you won't have a problem with this one. Its a good resort.

The HGVC Flamingo is not a "section of" the Flamingo hotel. The only association they have is that the buildings are relatively close and that HGVC guests have access to the Flamingo pool area. Otherwise they are completely separate, so walking through parts of the Flamingo hotel will not give you an idea of what the HGVC is like.

IMO, it is the best HGVC location in Vegas. The rooms have been recently refurbished and it is definitely on par with other HGVC properties.

HGVC Flamingo is a separate building in the rear of the Flamingo property.

This was the first Hilton Timeshare in Las Vegas, and possibly the HGVC system (BUT I could be wrong of it being the first HGVC). At the time the HGVC was built, the hotel was the Flamingo Hilton, with the timeshare sharing the same corporate property. The same was also true with the Las Vegas Hilton (Now LVH) and the "Karen" HGVC property. To this day I recall them building Karen while I was attending a couple of conventions wondering to myself what moron would buy a timeshare there. (I'm now in our 5th year of happily being that moron.)

Flamingo is a nice property, recently re-done inside and painted outside. The neighboring property, the former location of the Summer Bay Desert Club is undergoing construction as is a portion of O'Sheas to be a new attraction and the area is a little bit of a mess right now, but HGVC Flamingo is still a desirable property due to it's location.

As others have stated the Flamingo Hotel and the HGVC are no longer owned by the same corporate parent.

Caesars Entertainment which owns the Flamingo Hotel has made a big commitment to remodel its hotels on the central Strip. Don't be surprised if in the not too distant future you see the Flamingo undergo a full makeover.

The HGVC Flamingo location is a great resort and it is easy to pick one up for a great resale price, we used Judy K and it was a very smooth process. Also we have stayed in the three HGVC locations in Las Vegas currently available and the Flamingo is our favorite due to location.

We purchased at the HGVC Hilton Jan. 2012 and stayed there in June. Couldn't be happier with the resort. We even liked going to the Flamingo pool and hanging out.

As others have said, the resort has been updated and very clean and the ground are well maintained. The location can't be beat. We visited the other properties while we were there, and while they were nice, they were a long walk to anything off property. We didn't mind the Flamingo casino at all or the various bars and restaurants inside.
