What is the RCI policy regarding Extra Vacations/Last Call and handicap accessible units. We would like to take advantage of some of the weeks we see listed for rent online, however require a handicap accessible unit. Without it, we would not be able to make use of the holiday. Can you let me know what the RCI policy is in regards to this issue?

Thank you.

skulipeg,

I respond to posts oldest-first. When a thread is "bumped up" it actually goes to the end of the line. Sorry for the delay.

When ground floor, one-level, or handicapped accessibility is important, you are best advised to contact resorts directly before you confirm with RCI. Every resort has its own facilities, policies, and practices. Some resorts cannot accommodate any handicapped accessibility requests, while others can only if you submit a request in advance. Resorts' agreements with RCI provide for a specific type of unit; however, the resorts are at liberty to assign which units members will receive at check-in. Unless you work directly with resorts in advance, you're "rolling the dice."
