Got a call from GMAC about depositing my Wyndham points with RCI and letting them rent the points. Is this legit or not? Thanks.

It is a scam - RCI does not allow exchanges to be rented.

The rule of thumb is that ANYONE who charges you a large upfront fee is going to scam you - period.

GMAC scam

Yes, I got taken for $800 by someone at GMAC Timeshare claiming to be able to rent my time for convention / conference attendees. BEWARE if it sounds too good to be true, IT IS!:bawl:

The orginal poster might want to let the real GMAC company know so they can check to see if this look alike is them.
