Two years ago I purchased 20,000 "credits" in the GeoHoliday Club (a.k.a. Sapphire Resorts; Starpoint Resort Group). The membership purchase is fully paid. The annual Membership Fee is paid through the end of this year. I realize I made a mistake and no longer want the membership. Should I send them a letter stating I no longer want the membership and cannot afford to pay future Membership Fees? What do you think will happen if I stop paying the annual Membership Fee (payable to Gateways--Sapphire in Phoenix AZ)? Advice please.

welcome to TUG!

Here is an article that explains the possibilities of just stopping payment:

http://tug2.net/timeshare_advice/stop_paying_for_timeshare.html

we always suggest at least contacting the appropriate department at any timeshare or vacation club and express your interest to cancel to see if something can be worked out before just defaulting.
