Has anyone ever had any success with changing their site location with a pre-purchased Encore package? I purchased one last summer for the Oceana Palms property and thanks to the TUG website found about the construction going on next to the property. I asked MVC if I could change to one of the ocean front properties at Hilton Head and even offered to give up the $300 gift card included as part of the presentation. I even checked for room availability at all 4 HHI sites and they all had rooms available for a 5 day period. The response from MVC was NO. MVC advised that the Encore Packages are only specific to the regional area purchased. So I ended up booking at Ocean Pointe where we stayed before. To be honest, I now have zero interest in buying the points program.

We changed an Encore reservation (for the same reason you did—away from Oceana Palms because of the construction taking place there) but we chose from one of the resorts listed in the documents of the Encore package we purchased. Our package was not limited to a particular region. Sorry to hear that you had such limited options. :wall:

The MVCI response makes perfect sense to me.

Does the MVCI response "make perfect sense" due to the fact that it could be interpreted as not the most customer friendly? While I understand that the fine print does make it Palm Beach specific, if you have a product/service that you are trying to sell I would think that a potential customer/buyer accommodation would be something that could be easily accomplished. Especially, if the customer request is not asking for an accommodation far better than what was contracted for. That being said, ended up booking a vacation to HHI (our first trip to HHI) the end of June. Any good restaurant recommendations for breakfast and dinner. Staying at the north end of the island at the Westin Resort. Thanks
