Arrived Sat April 15th. We are in the Marsh Point area in a one bedroom deluxe. Unit seems to have been freshly painted and the furniture looks new. I don't think they are finished completely in the units. This is our first stay here so I am not sure what the units had before renovation. No major issue with the unit but noticed several differences from other resorts we have stayed at; no clock in bedroom and no large mirror over the bathroom sink. Beach access was ok. They are still repairing the beach area in some locations. The cabana is still not functional as they still need to do repairs there. Weather is great. Went to an Easter Sunrise Service on the beach this morning. Planning on checking out the activity area later. Hope you have a blessed Easter.

Just visited the activities area. The coffee shop there is closed for renovations from Hurricane Matthew. We stopped at the Bi-Lo grocery store. We had heard it was not well stocked and prices were high. We found it well stocked and the prices were not that high. Should have mentioned that though there was no mirror over the bathroom sink, there was a small extension mirror, or makeup mirror/shaving mirror. We are having a great time. Just spent 2 hours on the beach reading and relaxing. They are still renovating some of the buildings.

Made it to Edisto early this evening, and here is an update. We are in the lofts and they are NOT refurbished. They are doing a lot of work updating here, and just have not gotten to our units. Wasn't paying attention at check in and before you know it DW got talked into an update. Sigh. Will be doing that tomorrow if we can wade to the office thru the storms that have decided to visit at the same time we got here. Off to a great start. Checkin staff very friendly and we got our gift card already ($75). Went to Whaley's for dinner. Food was good, but don't expect too much atmosphere. It is in a converted gas station. Great staff there though. Off to Charleston tomorrow if weather clears.

We went to Finns on the beach. Food was great. We usually eat all our meals in the unit. We went with some friends who checked in that evening and we were leaving in the morning. They eat at the Sea Cow and I heard that the Waterfront was a great place to eat. Hope you have a great time. We enjoyed it

Was booked into Sea Palms and it turned out to be only non renovated units. Full of bugs, dirty carpets, and chairs that literally passed gas when you sat in them. Explained the situation to front desk and they moved us into a King Cotton Villa. Well done Wyndham.

Went to an update and actually had a pleasant time. Skipped the presentation and went straight to the tables. Good breakfast. Spent most of the time talking about the resorts ,things to do in Charleston and TUG. He said half the salespeople spend some time reading this forum. Two things I did get were that nobody knows what the maintenance fees are at Clearwater Beach or they are not telling. Makes me wonder if Clearwater is all CWA? And the head sales manager had no idea about the 10 contract limit on accounts.

Spent the rest of the day walking around downtown Charleston. Lunch at 82 Queen was excellent. Lot of history in Charleston. Most of the buildings in downtown are over 200 years old. The churches are something to see and the food is to die for.
