Hello Tuggers. I have posted up my Grand Pacific Palisades timeshare on the Bargain forum with no one being interested. My next step will probably do a deedback with the developer. I called them today and they told me to contact the company that handles their titles (advanced financial). When I spoke to them they said they can do do a deedback but it will cost me about $800 to process the title out of my name. Does that seem right? Anyone have any experience with Deedbacks?

That sounds like a good deal. The normal transfer fee is at least $450, then there's the county recorder fee and whatever they want to charge for doing the paperwork. Sounds fair and reasonable. Sorry nobody decided to take the timeshare from you. It's a great timeshare. I recently sold mine through Judi at Remax, but it did take over a year and it was actually Grand Pacific who bought it from her.

FYI: For giving away or selling a deed through GP, the transfer fee is $375, all in, and takes about three months for the transfer to complete.
