I am looking to book a getaway at Marriott's Marbella Beach Resort or Playa Andaluza near Estepona. I would prefer not to rent a car but travel throughout the coast and to Gibralter by bus. Would someone know if these resorts are in close walking distance to bus transportation? As well, which town Marbella or Estepona would be the most interesting to explore?

Thanks for your help.

What's the reason for not wanting to rent a car? I couldn't tell you about the bus options because we've always rented a car. I would imagine that a bus journey to Gibraltar, if there is one, would take a long time.

As for the more interesting town I would go for Marbella but even then it's not particularly interesting. Playa Andaluza and Marbella Beach Club are both fantastic resorts but their location isn't anything special. The places worth a visit such as Ronda, Cordoba, Seville etc are all a drive away and as such a car is very beneficial.
