I have my 3BR timeshare for sale on TUG at Grand Beach, FL and I received an email from Kids@chbc.org for me to donate. Is this legitimate? Or is it just a scam?

How much are they charging you to "donate"?

Who are they? A search for chbc.org comes back as various Baptist Churches- Capitol Hill, Chapel Hill and others.

I have no inside knowledge, but you might ask them what their track record is? How long have they been accepting TSs as donations? How do they market them? As questioned above, what is their charge? Do they want only certain high value TSs or prime weeks? I suspect scam, but you might have to let your own 'spidey sense' guide you.

I cannot get a website called www.chbc.org to come up. According to a domain search that is a valid website but it states it is inactive.

In this industry assume that everyone who contacts you is out to scam you. After that do your due diligence and investigate to determine if they are legit.

I would have to do a LOT more investigation on this one.... If they wanted YOU to pay them a fee then you have your answer already.

The Childrens Home of Mount Holly

There is a website "The Children's Home of Mount Holly". Sorry, the kids@chbc.org was the email. I looked on the website and it seems
to be ok. I tried calling but it says leave a message. It is election day
and most places are off today. Anyway, thank you everyone. I believe
it is legit and I'll get back to you after I speak to them. Thanks!!!!!!!

Yes, if they ask for any money I will know they are not for me. I did see some Charities on EBay selling timeshares, and after looking at their website the information they provided indicated they sell these TS. I'm going to look into
this. Hope someone wants to buy it in the meantime!! ha.
