Child Care - Manhattan

Has anyone had the opportunity to hire child care while staying in Manhattan?

MIL was going to look after our 11 & 8 year old while we went to NYC (Manhattan Club) next month, but is in now rehab after falling and breaking her hip. Good news for our kids is they now get to come to NYC.

Mom and I would still like to sneak out for an evening or two on our own. If any one has a service/agency they can recommend, I'd appreciate the heads up.

How about calling the concierge desk? I would wager they have some pre-screened people or agencies to recommend.
