Change to RCI Cabo Block Rule

As I recall, it used to be that if you owned an RCI resort in Cabo you were not permitted to exchange into any other resort in Cabo. I just took a look at the rule again, and now it says that Cabo owners can exchange into another Cabo resort as long as they use a different, non-Cabo area resort for the trade. This is a big change and makes a big difference to me.

Has anyone had any experience with the new rule?

I guess I wasn't aware of the rule but we own VDP Cabo and trade our WM for PBSB. There is a WM in SJD. Maybe WM works because of all of their locations. I never trade the VDP Cabo but even so, the VDP's are also in PV, NV and Cancun for me.

We are owners of a Cabo timeshare. We also own at a non-Cabo resort. We've been able to exchange using our RCI points into other Cabo resorts. We've been doing this for quite a number of years.

RCI specifies which resorts have this rule. we own at Pueblo Bonito and have no issues exchanging into other resorts.
