Off to Maui soon to WKORV! We are looking for a small mosaic-like tile piece for behind our stovetop. It would be part of the backsplash. Does anyone have a ceramic place that they recommend? We would probably ask them to do a custom scene if we don't find anything already made that catches our eyes.

I would go online and check out the artists participating in Maui Open Studio. Even if they are not part of this weekend, you can see who you might want to talk to.

I would go into Maui Hands across the street and just south of the Banyan Tree on Front Street in Lahaina. I don't think they would have the piece you are looking for but they deal almost exclusively with local artists and might know where to send you. The people in the store are always a pleasure to deal with.

Thanks! We went there today and bought four pieces that we liked. We will see if they work for the backsplash area, and if not, we will put therm somewhere else . Thanks for the recommendation .

Thank you! We checked out the Maui Open Studio online and found an artist who we met today on Front Street. She is going to get us some quotes on custom tiles. Thanks for the suggestion!
