My daughter and her roommate, both in their early 20's will spend a week at Raintree's Club Regina in early March. Club Regina is at the southern part of the strip next to Club Med. They are on a tight budget. I know there was a recent thread about restaurants in Cancun, but that seemed to focus on more upper scale restaurants.

We'd appreciate it if you could recommend some more moderately priced restaurants in Cancun. Her preferred choices would be Italian or other restaurants that have good steak or chicken dishes.

Thank you.

I think the weakness of the Peso has made those expensive restaurants actually more moderately priced. I am going to follow this thread since we are going to Cancun and can do with some moderately priced places too.

Take a look at Fish Fritanga. Also Jugo de Limon. And Blue Gecko Cantina. You can find reviews on TriipAdvisor, usually with links to the restaurant and their menus.

I would recommend The Surfin Burrito for an inexpensive and filling meal. Little bit like a Cancun version of Chipotle or Qdoba, and is owned by Americans, but good food, and they deliver if needed!

Looks like they are going to be on Triple D (Diners, Drivins and Dives)! No airing date yet, but according to their Facebook page, it looks like they taped a segment there.
