Can one deposit (to TPI) a week outside of your home resort?

Wondering if any Wyndham UDI points owner have done this, i.e. reserve a week @10 months and deposit it to an exchange company other than RCI or II? My points are domiciled in Sedona but is it possible to book a week requiring less points in Flagstaff and then turn around and deposit that week (that was worth x Wyndham points but not that it matters) to, say, TPI?

I've searched at both RCI and TPI and, during the time of my planned travel, TPI has just more options hence the plan to exchange there instead. BTW, I've already checked @TPI's website and confirmed that they will take that week from Flagstaff. But will Wyndham allow this? Anyone?

Just to update anybody who might be wondering too, a conversation today with a WYN vacation counselor confirms my fear. WYN would not approve the exchange of a Flagstaff week (or even a Sedona week) for the following reason. He said that the only *TPI exchange* WYN would approve would be UDIs from those Outrigger resorts in Hawaii. Granted, our Bali Hai UDI is a possibility but the point requirement to reserve a week there would make the exchange prohibitively expensive.

We've traded into Trading places a couple times. They even allowed us to use our VIP discount when booking a Bali Hai unit for the exchange. Have gotten a couple really nice exchanges with it. Although I have a week deposited in there now that i can't seem to get anything I want with.

@slabeaume, you mentioned VIP discount so I'd like to confirm that you used club points to reserve a Bali Hai week vs. using an unconverted week there in Bali Hai for deposit into TPI? Nothing but just my curiosity :)

Incidentally, we have an unconverted Pahio week but would never give that to TPI unless they pay me. TPI gives me ACs too (for the Yellowstone week) but it's more useless, I'm finding out, vs. II's ACs..and I still have a couple of unused II ACs but that is another topic.

Yes, I used club points. Once was a Bali Hai unit, the other time it was a Big Island resort---Wyndham was very good on finding me the best unit to exchange. Got an exchange into Maui Hill one time, Kauai Coast Resort on a last minute bonus week with TP, and Cliff's resort on Kauai last time. I haven't seen Kauai Coast Resort since then, but I was really happy with Maui Hill and the Cliff's, too.
