If one has to make two reservations with separate unit numbers to make up the period they want (7 days or less in total), and the unit type is identical and common, how good is the resort about preventing them from having to move? Also, if there is no move, will Owner care fix the HK credits?
Every single time I have booked a room at ANY Wyndham resort it is a "split" reservation. I did not catch on to this until they hit me up to BUY more housekeeping points. That didn't settle well with me AT ALL!! So I asked very pointed and direct questions about EXACTLY WHY this was happening and I told the lady "I PRESUME that if I do not move rooms, my points would be returned to my account WITHOUT A FEE??" She said that yes, if I called back after the stay and we had not moved rooms that my points would be refunded to us. I then asked "How far back can I request a refund of housekeeping points?" She said ALL the way back. So I had her go back through every stay and she refunded a ton of points to our acct. That seems to be yet another way for them to get more money. So in short, I had ALWAYS had to book separate reservations and was Charged double housekeeping points. I NEVER had to change rooms and I asked that the unused housekeeping points be refunded and they did. Do NOT let them tell you otherwise. If need be, call the actual resort and talk to them and they can and will help you get things right. Also call the resort directly 10-14 days out and request a specific room/area.
