I've been reading TUG for several years and have learned a great deal about how to maximize my Marriott Willow Ridge every other year lockoff. I saw an ad today on My Resort Network posted by Blue Water Vacations for Quarter House in New Orleans for $999 for annual year usage with buyer paying closing costs. I recently bought a week at Quarter House because I love the resort and the staff. I'm also from Louisiana and love staying in the French Quarter. Has anyone had any experience with Blue Water Vacations? I emailed and spoke with the broker, Beth Albright, today. She sounded legit but I haven't found much info on Blue Water. I would love another week in New Orleans and $999 is a great deal for Quarter House. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hmm...won a bid on ebay that I didn't expect to win. I still have my doubts about it getting past ROFR, but am really hoping they are reputable and was hoping to find some info before I send them my info to proceed.

Ours is not through Beth, but I heard back from them and we'll see where this goes, I guess. Good to hear some successful feedback. Just hoping the $$ aren't tied up too long if it doesn't go through.

Ron,

How was the process? It looks like they are saying a minimum of 90 days and max 180 days after we make payment?

90 to 120 days seems like a safe prediction. There are too many variables to predict any more accurately than that

some counties do electronic recording, some dont and one I know of requires that the deed be presented in person and then once it gets to Wyndham. It depends on their backlog, and they will return it for a t not crossed or a i not dotted and the process starts again or if the buyer or seller owes 10 cents past due fees for something else

Sure the the closing company can be responsible for a delay but in my experience most delays are not caused by them

The important thing is that you are dealing with a seller and closing company that isnt out to steal your money.. and Beth hasnt stolen any of mine.

I just closed on property with Beth. She is reputable and great to work with. She is under Bluewater Vacations and has two websites - ivacay and the timesharebogo.

Cheers

Sorry, I forgot to come back and report that we closed successfully on our purchase. I didn't receive as much communication from them as I had come to expect from another reseller we have purchased from, but all in all it was fine.
