Bliss vs Grand Bliss Rivera Maya

Can someone explain the differences between the Bliss and Grand Bliss. I have a 2 bedroom on hold for the Bliss.

Bliss units are basically a modernization of the Mayan Palace and the Grand Bliss is a modernization from the Grand Mayan - basically the same size as their counterparts but newer furnishings. The biggest difference is the G bliss has a usable balcony, larger rooms, and more luxury baths.

They were being constructed about the same time as the Grand Luxxe was being introduced; people were preferring the higher luxury of the GL and the Bliss didn't really sell that well. As a result, there are not that many Bliss units that were ever built. IMO, they are preferable to the MP but I would personally stay at the Grand Mayan over the Bliss.

Bliss vs Mayan Palace - same square footage - different style interior .
Vidanta does updates to Mayan Palace interiors as well - so this is not about age of the actual furnishings in your unit .

Currently Bliss is only in RM . Vidanta sold enough contracts that they had to build one . There remains
talk / sales rumours that NV will have a Bliss at some point for the same reason .

Grand Bliss are in RM and NV . There is a GB model as of 2017 at the PV-Marina location that is currently Mayan Palace only (about 200 units ) . When built - it will be on the marina side of the property

In the last few years - one product Vidanta has been selling groups brand /buildings . ( This helps reservations management as well.)

The Collections - Bliss , Mayan Palace ,Sea Garden
Grand Collection - Grand Bliss , Grand Mayan

variations of this exist - Entertainment Collection - gives you 10 registered weeks in the Cascade,
NV Theme Park brand building - and then renewable to Bliss -MP-SG .
Grand Entertainment - gets you Kingdom of the Sun in the NV Park for 10 registered weeks and renewable to GB , GM .

FYI - in either Bliss or Grand Bliss - a 2 bedroom will be a lock off format / .ie a one bedroom suite plus a hotel room ( only one kitchen - dining area)

also- we have not been to Vidanta RM . However from reading this forum - you may wish to look at where the building is located on the resort . Stretched golf cart shuttles are the alternative to walking .
Others who have been to RM can answer questions . Distance to onsite restaurants , pools and the beach vary by building location .

also- pool access is by brand - so Bliss gets you Mayan Palace pools while Grand Bliss gets you access to
Grand Mayan pools .
Wrist band / electronic room keys are used to differentiate . This also are used for all restaurant etc . charges .
