Beachwoods (#3679) on the outer banks NC

Hello.



Just returned home from a week at Beachwoods.



All in all the upgrades are complete, and it looks amazing.



However, because they were still under staffed all the amenities closed at 5pm. So we didn't use them much, or at all.



Wifi is only available in the main lobby area and parking lot, or you can opt to pay a third party $45 a week or $16 a day for what I would consider the worst wifi I've ever used. 2mbs was top speed.



Units are all beautiful.



Our unit was a 8 person large.

Had a full kitchen, dining room, living room, 2 full bathrooms, king size bed on main floor, and 2 singles upstairs in the loft. Brand new appliances and TVs in every room.

I forgot to mention that as if January 2016. They charge an additional $25 a night for usage fees. Thankfully we booked back in December, so the fee was waived. If you ask me, the $25 is a game changer, as I would not go there if I had to pay.

Thanks for the photos. From the pictures the resort is looking outstanding.

However, if what you say about the internet is accurate, I have to say that could be a show stopper for me personally. Because of my job I have to be able to connect 24/7 if required, so in addition to having to pay an extra fee, which seems really distasteful and ridiculous in 2016 when everyone in a family has electronic devices, the fact that the connection is bad makes it even worse. In 2016 I expect high speed / high quality internet service included in whatever fees I am paying.

Also, having to pay an extra $25 per day in addition to exchange fees also seems distasteful...almost low class.

I am not sure if this is a DRI thing or it would have been the same with Gold Key as well, but that kind of nickel and diming people does not sit well with me.

But from the pictures it looks like they have done a really good job on the renovations.

Looks great. I am scheduled to check in today but won;t be able to leave Maryland until Thursday to start Spring break. but then we have 2 nights in OBX and 7 nights in HHI

Be sure to let us know if they charge you the
daily resort amenities fee $25. dollars plus tax
for each day of your reservation or just the
two days you plan to spend at the resort.

Exchanger should protest
Beachwoods Resort Fees!
