Hi All-
We have traded into a 2BR at Costa Linda, in the last week in October (10/20 - 10/27). I got an email from Interval today with and advisement from the resort:
"Construction area is isolated and barricaded off. Related conditions, including noise should be expected. Projected completion: DECEMBER 2017. "

Just curious if anyone knows any specifics about whats going on there and/or how I should expect it to impact us. Any help is appreciated.

We have not booked flights yet, so I could conceivably try to move/ go somewhere else?

But just wanted to get some thoughts.

Thank,
Jon

I am an owner so I'll check it out on our boards. What unit are you trading into? Construction is for new suites on the main floor (no units next to it but could be above).

This is what I heard back. "The construction (renovation of a large space on the ground floor in the southeast section of the resort to build five interior suites) is not extensive. It is confined to a relatively small area of the resort. If a room assignment is in that south building, which had five floor, unless you are spending all day in your suite instead of the pool or beach, any inconvenience should be minimal. You could ask Interval to inquire as to your location. If Interval can't or won't do that, they can call Reservations themselves and request a suite in the center or north buildings. A reassignment may be possible. When the resort went through 3 years of renovations with construction on 10-20 uites at a time on five floors at a time, the resort stayed open and most owners hardly noticed because the workers started no earlier than 8 a.m. and stopped by 5 p.m. and because they were away all day at the beach or pool or elsewhere. This construction is relatively minor in comparison".

I was there myself when this construction was taking place and the above is correct.

Thanks so much for the info - makes me feel much better. I don't have a unit assigned yet. I'll probably call when it gets a little closer.

Many Thanks,
Jon
