Membership is one of the benefits of Interval Platinum. :
· Through a complimentary Priority Pass airport lounge membership, you’ll have access to
more than 700 airport VIP lounges in more than 400 cities in over 120 countries.** Standing in a
crowd during a flight delay is a thing of the past.

We used an airport lounge recently in Puerto Rico thru priority pass and while not as large as many airport lounges, it was a nice diversion from all the foot traffic in the airport. We were able to get a bite to eat and drink and check our emails. Be sure to carry your card or at least your priority pass membership number. I had my card but my husband had to call to get his number which caused a bit of a delay. Also, while some airport lounge memberships allow a guest free, PP does not.

I'd just like to add that if you have an American Express platinum card, take advantage of the centurion lounges when you can. They are the best I've seen overall. The Amex platinum card awards the priority pass complimentary.

We get Priority Pass membership thru Chase Surpass Reserve and recent used it for a lounge at MCO. It was a nice haven away from the madding crowd. Snacks, cold finger food, and beverages, in a quiet oasis. I enjoyed it, but I doubt I'd go out of my way to buy one.

Just recently I read on Flyer Talk that some lounges get so busy, you won't be able to get in with a Priority Pass, but have to be a member of that Airline Program which is running the lounge.

The usefulness of PP and/or AmEx Platinum for Centurion Lounges depends in large part on what lounges exist at your home airport -- and if it is a large airport -- whether the lounges are located near the airlines you typically fly.

It is nice to be able to get away from the crowd, eat some snacks, and recharge your computer.

Can you access these lounges if your flight is originating in another terminal? Most of them require you to go through TSA. Would they accept a boarding pass from another part of the airport? Then would you have to go through security again at your terminal to catch your flight?

Yes, yes, and yes.

But it is inconvenient.

A credit card is the way to get a priority pass because they may have limited value depending on where you travel. They may also be a big benefit.

The other rather important thing to know is whether you get a priority pass or priority pass select. One gets you in a lounge but your guest(s) have to pay $27 per visit. With a PP Select you get 1 or 2 guests free.

I had a very long layover in Taiwan recently during a business trip to Vietnam and China. I used Priority Pass at the Taiwan airport and really appreciated the oasis from the madding crowds :) My membership in Priority Pass is paid for fully through my Chase Sapphire Reserve Card.

It's a nice perk, and well worthwhile to apply.

Don't know what the fee is for Priority if you just join, but Chase Saphire Reserve is $450.00 a year --however, you get $300 a year credited back to your account for any expenditure that is travel. AND the card insures travel booked with the card if any PART of the travel was paid for with the card. We've stopped buying cruise insurance. The card has definitely saved us more than what we've paid for it. The Priority lounges are free for the card holder and a guest (and normally, but not always, everyone with the card holder--up to some reasonable number--so you could, normally, take another couple).
