Has anybody heard anything about Vacation Ownership Concierge? Have tried searching them but could not find out anything. They replied to my sale posting here offering to help me "exit" out of my timeshare but afraid it could be a scam. Their website tells you nothing. Thank you.

What was your ad advertising? Were you looking to sell your TS? Give it away? Get rid of your TS?

By the way, where did you advertise this for sale?

These "exit" companies are not necessarily scams, they are just expensive ways of doing something you can do for yourself for a lot less money.

Never heard of 'em, but certainly sounds like just another useless upfront fee "exit / relief / escape / rescue" entity.
Perhaps it's a newly launched Viking Ship, hoisting sail for its' maiden voyage into the Sea of Fraud.
Vacation Ownership "Concierge" indeed.

Yes and no. Viking Ship operations whose fraudulent practices may actually be criminal in nature are not something with which to ever become associated.

While I do not support or endorse any form or flavor of Postcard Company (a.k.a. "PCC"), so called "Viking Ships" are distinctly different from PCC's. A PCC may dump the timeshare on eBay for a buck via Power of Attorney after collecting a hefty upfront fee, but in doing so the PCC is not engaging in unlawful activity.

Viking Ship operations, otoh, are overtly fraudulent by design and intent; anyone loading a timeshare onto a Viking Ship does so at their potential legal peril.

any company who contacts you and offers a "solution" to help you out is eventually going to try to extract money from you.

note that we do not show you have any other postings on the forum(the only two posts you have made are here in this thread), and nothing posted in the bargain deals section?

the bargain deals section of the forum is a place where only free timeshares can go.

Congrats on finding someone to take your timeshare. Too many people post "need to get rid of this timeshare" with little details beyond that and wonder why they can't get rid of it. You really "sold" your timeshare in your ad by including what makes this timeshare so special.

I am in the closing process now! Thank you for giving us a safe place to sell, buy and gather information.

Thanks for giving us another case of not having to pay some law firm, exit company, charity, or PCC thousands of dollars to get rid of a timeshare. With a little time and effort, one can do it himself for a lot less.
