9 is very low if 62 points devided by 5 is 12.5

If it is in TPU - $ 185 USD divided by 9'= $ 22.55 per TPU ( 9 per year TPU /!MF $ 185 USD approx.per year - billed in South African Rand currency )

Mt. Amanzi is not a Points resort. TPU range from 9-19 when I checked the calculator on RCI just now. You probably can't reserve just any week I'd bet. I have a red flexi week at Dik. and can only rez. certain weeks. I'd look at the deed before I accepted these.

So here is what RCI says about trading power:
It is variable based upon demand.
I have 4 weeks with an average trading power of 13 and 1 week worth 10.
Total 62 TPU.
The unit I have is a 2 bedroom flexi week.
If you want to use the unit itself in South Africa,
you can use it anytime except the 3 month peak summer season. (our winter).
If you want to trade it for another resort, then there is no restriction.
I have used it in Hawaii thrice in January, New Hampshire in October,
Panama City in July, Puerto Vallarta for my nephews honeymoon, Cayman Islands, New Zealand,
Oregon, Vegas, etc.
If you want to trade and travel, this is by far the cheapest deal.
Its been great to me, but alas I can no longer travel.
I've thrown in every sweetener I can to make you happy you said yes.

5freeweeks, You may also want to consider BidorBuy--where you could try to sell it or give it away free. I haven't done this myself but have heard of others who were successful, even making money.

Another option is to check to see if the resort would take it back, or try to locate SA timeshare brokers (your resort may have suggestions).
