I finally found a Getaway for the Grandview for $259 for a two bedroom and lo and behold I found a Marriott's Grand Chateau 2 bedroom II exchange for my dates 3/18-3/25/17. Which would you pick considering the location, rooms features etc of each. I am an owner with Marriott and at the Grandview.

I'd take the Grand Chateau all day.

Closer to the action, more upscale.

We like Grandview, because we like being off strip in a quieter location, and we like the South Point Casino which is a few steps away.

The difference would be analogous to a comparison of Sizzler and Ruth's Chris.

Depends on how you value the exchange vs. Getaway.

Maybe Outback vs Ruth's Chris. Grandview is a nice place, just less polished.

Location, location is the key when visiting Vegas. My selection choice hands down is Grande Chateau. Also, you would have a chance to see all the various neon lights at night, more restaurants choices and a chance to visit more casinos. Good luck in visiting Vegas. Remember what ever you do stays in Vegas.

I agree. With the exchange fee plus maintenance for the week you are exchanging, it is going to be a lot more expensive for the Marriott week. If that is not a factor, I'd definitely go for Grand Chateau.

Ok then Never Mind. I didn't reserve the Chateau and it's no longer showing. My fault for being so stupid but my decision has been made for me. We're going to the Grandview!

Hate it when that happens...

I've had that when we stayed at the Bellagio. This trip is to see my sister in her assisted living place. The married couple who'll be traveling me are very big into being on the strip, but they like South Pointe as an alternative. They can take the shuttle or a cab to the strip when they want.

I'm going to be very busy this trip setting up banks, seeing social workers, talking to the directors of the assisted living place, and just being there for my handicapped, older, sis.

I feel sorry for my friends who're traveling with me but they knew ahead of time the reason for this trip. They are used to staying without chipping in, or chipping in a tiny pittenace, so they've been on many, many lovely vacations. This one will have to be on my terms, and since it's not a vacation for me, they will have to make do.

What general part of town is she in?

I wish you well we are going thru this with my Mother-In-Law who is 93 years old.
