Went to the owner update at governors green to complain about the new website. Mistake first Candice ask me what happen. I told her it I couldn't bank points to II online anymore and had to call. She said we don't do II anymore. I almost got out early then some guy name Tom? was on cell phone and said I had to do a full update for some reason. what ever that means. I told Candice about my Patriots Place fixed week and she said I could pic it and it was worth 154000 points. I said no it only worth 140000 points and if you could show me how to pic it for 154000 points I like to see that. Tom sales manager witness? said don't buy resale weeks and that some of the buildings at patriots place have been torn down. I said if that was the case Wyndham owes me some money.
Candice asked if I was assigned a financial advisor yet. I said I think so. Candice gave up and I never saw tom again. two new people came in. that kept on saying we are obligated helping you save money buy converting everything to CWA. they are legally obligated to let owners know how to save money and not pay maintenance fees. They kept on saying Iike it a threat we are going to sign off on your CRS and this we be your final presentation. They kept on telling me that are going to sign it off and told them yes sign it off I happy what I have. one lady left and then the other came back and wanted to make sure I wanted my account to be sign off I say yes. I told her I wasn't buying anymore points. She said I didn't mention anything about more points. I told her okay then put something it writing about your offer I pick it up latter look at it and show it to my lawyer and I get back too you. I told her am not going to make a decision today anyway no matter what. She finally gave up I and got a free week maybe? It was like they were doing some sort of script . they kept on trying to change there strategy I don't really thing they were listening to my concerns about the new website and 100 town homes being built in the middle of patriots place. Candice wanted to tell me I was mistaken about II in my account. one of the ladies tried to say I had to Pay Home owner fees plus maintenance fees which are the same thing. One of the ladies said it seems like you have trust issues with us. I said yes I don't trust any thing you say. two hours in I said I was done hour up and I am done. The survey I gave all poor ratings got my gift and went to busch gardens and saw the best two concerts ever Slapnation and Kool and the Gang.

The Old Hotel next to Wyndham Patriot Place is the building being referred to above. This is not a Wyndham property or development. 102 Units are being developed by Harmony Hospitality and/or Harmony Investments.

Yikes!!! I attended an owner update at Governors Green the first week of August. I was told it would be a 45 minute group meeting. I arrived and was escorted back and informed that I was obligated for a 90 minute 1 on 1 meeting because my account was a priority 1. When I asked why, she was unsure and couldn't answer. I sat for the obligated 45 minutes and stood up and left. But certainly, during that time, there was a concerted effort and a script to get me to purchase a small contract and trade in my low maintence fee fixed weeks for CWA contracts and pay Wyndham $18K. Over and over again, I was told they wanted to save me money and hear my concerns...that was a joke. I am sorry you lost 2 hours of your vacation.

You experienced what most owners endure at updates/presentations. Years ago we used to go to the updates and we would actually learn stuff but not in the past at least 6-7 years. Now I wouldn't believe the sales people if they told me it was raining and I was standing outside under an umbrella to keep dry. I would have to look around to make sure that one of them wasn't using a hose to make it appear to be raining!

There typically might be one of two little nuggets of truth in what they say, just enough to lead you to think you should believe them about the big lies. And of course they take a very aggressive stance if you dare to question them about whether something is correct or true. Many owners who really do know how their points work, the changes to the system, etc. have quit going to the updates because it just plain sickens them to listen to the lies and have to put up the sales people's disgusting attempts at manipulation and scare tactics.

As other people have posted often the best way to deal with anything they say is to respond that you will see what the other people on TUG have to say about what your are being told. That usually shuts them up in a real hurry. Keep in mind that they always try to scare/manipulate you into believing you will only get one chance at something and then you are screwed forever. Just laugh in their faces.

Last update I went to, had FOOD ... maybe 3 months ago. I ate sandwiches and desert ... I had not been food shopping yet ... took more for snack time ... listen to the spiel and said not at this time. Came back with the "just found special" deal ... agreed it was a 'deal' but just not for me. Thanks ... and they left and I had to ask around as to where was gifting ... got my $100 GC. Used it a Home Depot the following week.

PS As they left me to my own devices, I took more sandwiches back to the unit for a nice dinner in.

And only a few of us where there ... about 3 sales people to each target.

What a great idea. Go at lunch or when sandwiches are being served. Fill up a bag with 10-20 sandwiches and another with 20-30 bottles of water. Or walk in with the entire family and eat breakfast. Then tell the sales person "keep your $100 Amex card" and walk out...

I noticed the sales staff did NOT sit and eat with the guests/owners there. Perhaps it cuts down the length of the overall face time with a sales person .. to weed out the freebie attendees before adding them to the "do not tour". Or it might have been, I got into the presentation before they pull my profile .. better to let her eat, say hi, ask for her questions and send her to gifting & out.

I rather have a decent gift card over stale sandwiches. Bottle water or coffee is fine for a meeting ... if the prospects are serious or want some questions answered... they will attend, ask questions and get answers.

Glad it all worked out for you in the end, but with no disrespect intended I can't imagine how you might have thought that a bunch of hungry sales weasels would have been the least bit interested in hearing (or being at all responsive to) complaints about Wyndham's new web site.

I though it was going to rain all day so I change my appointment. They said they aren't a sale center. They are owner care unlike the Smokies which they said was a sales center. Well they ask me what were problems with my ownership so I told them.
Closed crs status? Will see
Daniel
PS
I been banned from Westgate presentations
